Who works in the office?

Dr. Kimberly Trainor, PsyD, NCSP, LEP

Dr. Kimberly Trainor is the owner of Trainor Psychological Services LLC. She is a doctoral-level licensed educational psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist with a decade of experience working in public school settings as well. She conducts individual and group therapy, consultation, crisis intervention, and evaluations for accommodations and services at school or college, in the community, or national standardized exams.

She graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2016 with her Doctorate in School Psychology after getting her Masters Degree in School Psychology from there as well. She earned bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Biology from the University of Rhode Island in 2010.

Dr. Trainor is licensed/credentialed through National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MA DESE) and Massachusetts’ Board of Allied Mental Health and Human Services Professions.

She has previous experience working in a private therapeutic school, and completed an internship doing therapy with children and families involved in foster care in Fort Lauderdale. She also has experience working with a neuropsychologist completing NHL team’s concussion testing, and experience with testing and counseling in private and public schools and outpatient settings.

She has special interests in working with children and their families to help them feel successful despite their personal obstacles with anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, medical challenges, learning differently, and/or social stresses.

Dr. Trainor enjoys volunteering with Special Olympics and involving her therapy dog in animal-assisted interventions and therapy. Dr. Trainor and Hannah the goldendoodle have been serving as a therapy dog team for over 5 years.
